Winter Immersion - Begins January 13th!

Whether or not you want to teach yoga, Sage's yoga teacher training program will prepare you for your practice on and off the mat. You’ll learn the skills to build resilient communities, create safe, welcoming spaces, and become a mindful wellness leader. Through our unique program, you’ll learn how to create a practice outside the contemporary yoga world. This training incorporates traditional yoga philosophy, intersectional social justice work, sustainability, and modern movement concepts that make even Hot Yoga accessible to ALL. You’ll learn how to empower yourself and your students to trust their bodies and their experiences in order to create wellness beyond the mat.

In this program, you’ll learn how to: 

  • Utilize inclusive and inviting language; and modify asana for different body sizes and abilities

  • Create trauma-informed and aware classes in order to instruct various and intersecting identities such as race, gender, and sexuality

  • Explore a mindful and sustainable lifestyle through yoga, meditation, and physical movement

  • Create sequenced classes in hot vinyasa, non-heated hatha, yin, and restorative yoga

  • Including the following curriculum:

  • Yoga anatomy, bio-mechanics, and alignment

  • Philosophy and history of yoga disciplines

  • Daily practice, asana, pranayama, and meditation

  • Science and art of pose sequences, cues, and communication

  • Props, modifications, and adjustments for hot vinyasa, non-heated hatha, and yin yoga.

 Including the following curriculum:

  • Daily practice, asana, pranayama, and meditation

  • Science and art of pose sequences, cues, and communication

Session Specifics

The training consists of ten concentration specific modules. The training program is a healthy balance of in studio group sessions and work-at-your-own pace material. The in studio group sessions are held once or twice a month typically on the second Saturday and Sunday. You will not only learn pranayama, asana, yoga anatomy, cueing and sequencing, but will also be introduced to Ayurveda. In order to receive your 200 hour Yoga Alliance accredited certification, you must complete the following:

  • Attend most in studio group sessions

  • Complete all module assignments: reading, essay, and technical

  • Maintain your current in studio or at home yoga practice

  • Instruct a demo class and practice 10 student teaching hours

The Winter Immersion cohort in-studio session dates are:

January 13th, 14th, 27th, 28th

February 10th, 11th, 24th, 25th

March 9th, 10th, 23rd, 24th, 30th, 31st

Tuition Options  

Tuition is $2800 if paid in full by December 1, 2023

Tuition is $3000 is paid after December 1, 2023

Payment Plan available: $500 due at registration, five monthly payments of $500 beginning on November 1st.
